Taradale rally to support teen sex assault victim draws hundreds

Hundreds of people turned up at a rally in Taradale to support a 17-year-old girl who was sexually assaulted by two strangers last Friday. Two brothers have been charged with kidnapping and sexual assault in connection with the incident. The rally was organized by the Taradale Community Association at the bus stop where the girl was taken to help promote safety in the neighbourhood.

TORONTO (Reuters) - Contract talks between Canadian Pacific Railway and the Teamsters Canada Rail Conference (TCRC) have stalled, the union representing about 3,800 locomotive engineers and conductors at the country's No. 2 railway said on Friday. The Teamsters said it filed an official request on Wednesday for mediation, saying the main point of contention with management was worker fatigue and how to manage it. ...
